Ah! The bane of ants...

Everyday I wake up and the first thing I do is walk to the kitchen sink to check for ants. Then I crush each and every one of them with my finger until they are all DEAD. I'm not too sure if that's bad karma, seeing as I'm pregnant and all, but it's not like I have a choice.

The ants here are a little different from those in KL. It seems strange I know but at least that's how I see it. The ones that are currently making my life a nightmare are those half black half red tiny ones (please await pictures patiently as I'm using a dinasour age computer that doesn't have a card reader).

Now, let me tell you about these ants:
  1. They seem to attack in small groups so you cannot find any trail leading back to their home base. 
  2. They not only attack food (which honestly there aren't any lying around here, I'm very particular about that) but they like towels! Be it kitchen towels or bath towels, there they are. Just burrowing in the fuzziness that is towels.
  3. They like freshly washed wooden spoons. Yum yum! That's one of their favorites. Leave those wooden spoons drying out too long and there they are.
So it's been two weeks and I am still fighting a losing battle against these weird ants. I've been sweeping and mopping and cleaning like a mad woman but they still seem to be coming out from somewhere. I think they have a home under my stove (no seriously, this is not one of my "theories"). As spraying insecticide under the stove is not an option, I'll just have to continue with the manual method of crushing them with my finger.

    eh, i also have a lot of ants crawling in my kitchen sink. Mine are those big ones though (i think they are black). They only come out at night though, not sure why. They crawl really fast, I normally only manage to kill a few...

    so many ants because Mary so sweet mar.. at least by killing the ants, we are able to fill the cracks on the wall.

    hey BLUR, my 'sweeping, cleaning' contract expired already, did not auto renew.. dont remind her...

    Thanks for reminding me. I have to get my contract renewed! But FYI, it expired around the time I passed my first trimester. The moment the Dr. said the baby is stable, the contract auto-lapsed!

    yea, will try my best to get rid of them before the baby comes. Am actually getting tiny little bites on my legs, not sure if that's from the ants, but i'm guessing must be because we have no mosquito problems here.

    Wah! yours very scary. Big black ones I wouldn't crush with my fingers. My little tiny ones I can. Of course all the time while saying "Die my pretties..die!" muahahaha..

    don't think even by killing all the ants we'd be able to cover the numerous cracks on all our walls man!! will keep trying though...
    btw, I want my contract renewed!!

    you should try buying this thing called Kapur Ajaib. It gets rid of ants miraculously and instantenously!
